Calendar Cards

I have once again been inspired by the wonderful work of Karen Amidon. My grade level has a holiday party every year and we play a gift exchange game. I had a pretty popular gift last year and I didn't think I would be able to top it. Then, I saw Karen's collection of calendar cards and thought to myself, "top myself, I shall!" All the cards have the 2016 3x4 calendar by Taylored Expressions. Click here to see Karen's fantastic work and scroll down to see my take on it :)

Autumn Blessings

Just as I sat down to add this post, I realized my perfectly lit picture was of an imperfect card. A jewel had fallen out of place :/ see below:
Anyway, I love all the little details in this stamp and the neat square die cuts from Bo Bunny. Autumn blessings to everyone! Here are the materials I used:
  • Quilted Pumpkin stamp by Serendipity Stamps
  • Portrait square dies by Bo Bunny
  • copics- YR04, YR07, YR18, YG95, E27, E55, R37, R39, Y17, Y38
  • memento ink- tuxedo black and rich cocoa
  • Harvest paper pack by Pebbles
  • Twig Wreath stamp and die set by serendipity stamps
  • coordinating jewels and ribbon

You Glow Girl!

My sister-in-law is getting married in a few months. We went wedding dress shopping recently and I thought this would make the perfect "good to see you" kind of card. You may notice the smudge on the left side of the card. I was all the way done and picked up the card to admire my work. Big mistake. I had ink on my finger...bummer. So, this is what I added to the back of the card:
Anyway, here are the materials I used:
  • Groovy Bridal Bellas stamp by Stamping Bella
  • You Glow Girl stamp by Stamping Bella
  • Stitched Rectangle Die cuts by My Favorite Things
  • copic markers- V12, RV13, RV14, B00, B01, B23, BG13, Y00, E00, E37, N8
  • scrap patterned paper
  • coordinating silver ribbon
  • memento ink- tuxedo black
