compost happens- feel better soon

This one is for my dad, the gardener! This could be done with different sentiments or without one at all. Here are the materials I used:
  • green thumb stamp set by Paper Smooches
  • healthy vibes stamp set by Paper Smooches
  • acrylic stamping block
  • recollections mini card and envelope (3"x3")
  • versafine ink- vintage sepia
  • earth toned scrap paper
  • Tim Holtz distress ink- mowed lawn
  • copic markers- YG11, YG13, YG17, YR04, YR07, R35, R37, R39
  • tape runner
  • 1/8" foam tape
Front:
The front is very simple! I colored the leaves and pea pod using the YG11, YG13, & YG17 copics. For the radish I used the R35, R37, R39 markers. Then the YR04 and YR07 markers on the carrot.
Inside:
That is about as simple as it gets!

happy trails

Although I am happy with this card, I am sad to say it is for a friend that is moving :( These are the materials I used:
  • happy trails stamp set by Lawn Fawn
  • acrylic stamping block
  • happy trails die cuts by Lawn Fawn
  • versafine ink- onyx black and toffee
  • Tim Holtz distress ink- picked raspberry
  • copic markers- B0000, B00, B01, G43, G46, G82, YG13, YG11, V01, V04, R24, R27, N-10, Y02, T-1, T-2, T-3
  • scrap paper- light green, dark green, beige, and outdoor related paper
  • tape runner
  • 1/8" foam tape
  • scotch tape
  • red & white striped cord (thread-like ribbon)
  • pre-made recycled paper card

Front:
Water colors would be easier with this background, but I don't have any so I used markers instead. Here are the copic marker breakdowns:
trees- G43, G46, G82 (G46 goes on the outside, then G82 and G43)
trailer- YG11, YG13, V01, V04, T-1, B0000
tires- T-2, T-3, N-10
car- R24, R27, B0000, Y02
road- T-1, T-2, T-3
These are the copics I used for the background: B0000, B00, B01. I took the B01 and ran it along the edges and just a little on the front of the card. Then I used just a little of B00 to fade to a lighter color. Lastly, I used B0000 to blend all the colors together and to keep the center a very light blue color.

  • copic markers: B00, B01, Y02, Y00, T-4, T-2, N-10, R29, YG01, Y06, Y38
  • paper- chevron [simple stories (snap life!)] & pink cardstock (scrap paper)
  • Tim Holtz distress inks- evergreen bough & mowed lawn
  • tape runner

Front:
Here is the breakdown on what I used for the coloring:

Inside:
I used the evergreen distress ink to stamp the camera image. Hint- ink the stamp and stamp once on scrap paper and then on the colored paper (without re-inking) to give it a more faded look.

Here is the image that inspired my card, but I'm not sure what the inside looks like:
This card and other great ideas can be found on the Lawn Fawn blog.

sending love your way

Okay, I made a few minor mistakes when making this card, but I still like the way it turned out. What I really like about it is that you can send it to anyone, for just about any occasion. Here are the materials I used:

  • versamagic- night sky & red magic
  • happy trails stamp set by Lawn Fawn
  • copic markers- B21, B23, 24, B26, R29
  • spell binders- ribbon tags trio set
  • x-acto knife
  • ribbon cords- red/white striped & blue/white striped
  • scotch tape
  • tape runner
  • 1/8" foam tape
  • Navy blue and red scrap paper
Front:

I colored the mailbox using B21, B23, B24, and B26. I colored the hearts using R29. Then I inked the edges of the mailbox using the B26 marker and the envelopes using the sepia. I then used the
x-acto knife to cut a slit for one envelope leaving the mailbox.

Father's Day- grill master

The pop-up box cards are far easier than they look. Please click here for a tutorial on how to make one. I couldn't explain better than this lady already has. This was the card for my dad this year! These are the materials I used:
  • 1 sheet of red 12"x12" cardstock paper
  • coordinating arrow and stripe patterned paper from Kraft Funday (Happy Days)
  • scor-mat
  • boys will be boys stamp set by Taylored Expressions
  • versafine ink- vintage sepia
  • copic markers- W-2, W-3, W-7, G24, G28, G29, Y15, Y17, Y19, YR04, YR07, YR09, R24, R27
  • strips of sturdy plastic
  • tape runner
  • ultimate glue
  • toothpicks

You know all of the annoying, hard to open plastic packages? Well, we finally have a use for them! I took the plastic casing from a spellbinders die cut set and cut out a few strips to use for holding up the pieces. See below.
Here is the break down for the copic coloring:
grill (ours is a big green egg)- W-2, W-3, W-7, G24, G28, G29
kabobs- R27, Y19, G24
steak- R24, R27
flame- Y15, Y17, YR04, YR07, YR09
Happy [belated] Father's Day to all the grill masters out there!
